CTU and AT&T 2016 V4 Hackathon registration starts

The Czech Telecommunications Office and At&T Developer Program invites you to sign up to participate in V4 Hackathon: Driving the ‘Connected Life’. You’ll get to collaborate and compete for great prizes, as you design and prototype an innovative project under one of the following categories:

»Smart Cities App Challenge: Using AT&T and sponsor technologies to improve the efficiency of city services. Address issues in parking, resource management and community engagement.
» Education App Challenge: Using AT&T and sponsor technologies to create an impactful education-focused app that focuses on enhancing learning in school and/or at home.
» Best Use of the Czech Republic’s Open Data: Using open data from the Czech Republic’s government sources.
» Best Use of Open Source by CZ.NIC: Using open source framework with the Czech Domain Name Registry – CZ.NIC.

WHEN

Registration begins at 9 a.m. on 22nd April, 2016. The hackathon will conclude at 6 p.m. on 23rdApril, 2016.

WHERE

Orea Hotel Pyramida Prague, Bělohorská 24, 169 01 Praha 6.

PRIZES

» The first place prize will receive US$10,000;
» the second place prize will receive US$2,000;
» the third place prize will receive US$1,000.
Special US$1,000 prizes will be given for the best use of the Czech Republic’s open data sources and best use of CZ.NIC’s open source framework. In addition, five participants will be awarded Nanodegree scholarships, funded by AT&T and Udacity, to earn an online degree that will help prepare them for careers in the tech industry.

HOW TO ENTER

The event is open to developers and non-developers alike. Come with your own team or form a team when you arrive.
