Looking back to Junior Hackathon 2016

The first national programmer competition for high school students called Junior Hackathon (#juniorhack2016)Junior Hackathon 2016 hosted Secondary School of Informatics and Communications in Brno. The event was organized by AT&T, JA Czech and Secondary School of Informatics and Communications during 2nd and 3rd December. The event drew 80 contestants from 12 Secondary schools from all over Czech Republic which competed in 15 teams.

 Winners

1st Place: SPŠ and VOŠ Chomutov. The winning app introduces targeted garbage collection and “smart” garbage cans.Junior Hackahon 2016 1st place winners
2nd place: SPŠ Electrotechnical, Užlabí, Prague. The winning app introduces mobile and web network for bicycle rental with tracking system.
3rd place: SPŠSE a VOŠ Liberec. The winning app introduces smart home network with different types of notifications.

In addition, Radek Kemr, Secondary Industrial School of Electrotechnics, Pardubice and Vojtěch Böhm, Secondary Industrial School of Electrotechnics, Úžlabí, Prague got online Nanodegree courses from AT&T and Udacity.
